The airline kept the ammo and Don was allowed to continue his trip. He has not released a statement.

Waka Flocka Talks Not Using Complex Rhymes

Waka Flocka Flame recently spoke about how he does not feel motivated to use complex rhymes, adding that his love for music outweighs an urge to perfect his rhymes on songs.
"I don't feel like I'm no lyricist. I'm not in the booth trying to godd*mn rap big words," Flocka explained in an interview. "I'm not tryin' to show off my intelligence. Anybody could memorize big words, put 'em together. I could do that. But if I don't use the words on an everyday basis, why use the words in my rap? I just like music. I'm a lover of making music. It could be a big record, small record--as long as I'm making songs. One day it'll pop; that's how I look at it. Yeah. What I did in one year--one year--a lot of people accomplish in 10 years. A lot of people don't like that. They feel I don't deserve what I got. I'm a hard-a** worker. And I'm here for a reason. This sh*t ain't luck. I don't believe in luck."

So, if she says she wants to sing, I know that Wayne is going to do everything in his power and help her fulfill that dream, and I'm going to be right there to nurture it." (Celebrity Access)

The Secret Way To Seduce Nicki Minaj

Young Money's new first lady Nicki Minaj recently was the Chelsea Lately show in which she talked about the secrets to seducing her. Nicki admits she likes "Bosses" and even let you know the way to control her ego in relationships.
"It's like your natural instinct is to be bossy, but then you really can't be like that with your boyfriend all the time, you know," Minaj explained to television host Chelsea Handler. "I'm the total opposite in relationships. Like, I like for the boy to take control when we are [in bed.] It's so different in real life. But when you're with a boy, I want to feel like you can be a boss if you want to be, but you let me be the boss in real life, in public. It's weird because him being a boss would turn me on but at the end of the day when it was time to really make it long-term, it would be too many egos clashing. You know what I mean? It's true." Karrine Steffans Gets Restraining Order On Eddie Winslow?!

A judge just granted Karrine a temporary restraining order for her ex husband Darius McCrary, and he must stay 100 yards away from her. In the documents, the video vixen turned author says her ex "choked her from behind and beat her with a belt", all in front of her 12 year old son.

This wasn't the only incident between the two. Karrine claims McCrary was abusive again in November. She claims he choked her and shoved her into a car in front of a large crowd in LA. The temporary restraining order says that McCrary must stay at least 100 yards away from his ex-wife. Karrine is asking to make the restraining order more permanent and is scheduled in court next week.

Karrine sent out a letter to some sites a few weeks ago detailing how Darius was abusing her. No one believed her and viewed it as a publicity stunt because Karrine has a history of being a pathological liar.

Dave is in a position where he does what he wants to do. He lives in Ohio on a farm. He has his Harley [Davidson motorcycle], he books little gigs whenever he feels like getting out and telling some jokes."

Drake Talks Wayne & Being Taken Off Kanye Track

Young Money's new star Drake, recently stopped by Shade 45 where he spoke about Lil Wayne's current situation and how he has been since getting out of prison. Drake also went on to talk about being removed from Kanye's "All of the Lights" track from his new "My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantansy" album.
''Kanye's creative process is ever-changing," Drake said in an interview. "We make music differently. I make what comes to me and I hate changing it, whereas 'Ye will change something 30 or 40 times to get it perfect...To each their own, and the change was to put all those people on it, and I [wasn't included]. That's completely okay...I can never sit here and tell you that's not one of my idols, that's not one of my favorite rapper...Whatever energy I've ever felt is irrelevant. When you ask me, 'What do I think of Kanye West,' I'ma always have something positive to say."

Jay-Z Talks About Giving Up Drugs For Music

Hip Hop mogul Jay-Z recently talked about one of his life-changing choices that he made in the mid-late 1990's, which helped him avoid serving years and years behind bars. During an interview with Charlie Rose, Jay-Z talked about giving up the drug game for rap.
"My first album didn't come out 'til I was 26, so for so long I ignored that talent," Jay explained. "It took a bit of luck. The people I was with daily -- a personal friend of mine went to jail for 12 years. And me and him would be together every single day. So I know that same fate was awaiting me. We would have got picked up the same day. If I wasn't pursuing music I would have been in jail for 12 years."

Fat Joe Says He Will Never Make Pop Music

Terror Squad leader, Fat Joe, recently sat down to talk about his public image and why he says he will never try to sell more records by testing out the market with music outside of anything he does now. Joe says that he likes artists like Flo Rida and others but he refuses to make any kind of pop music.
"I'm in inspired because I'm all over the world. I love Flo Rida and all of them but I won't make that kind of music. I'll make some party music but it'll be more like urban party music, 'Lean Back' and 'Make It Rain.' Rather than straight pop. Once again, I love Pitbull, Flo Rida and the music they make but some artists can't really be respected if they take that lane. There's one thing to be featured on a hot song like that and do it yourself. When reggaeton got hot the record labels would [be] offering me stupid money to make a Spanish reggae tone album. I featured on a song or two from some people I respected but that's as far as I would go. "

Diddy Does His Own Street Promotion

He isn't just a CEO of Bad Boy, he is also the head of his street marketing crew. P Diddy was recently out in the city doing promotion for his upcoming "Last Train To Paris" album.
"It's been a minute, I had to chill off the blogs for like, a good year and a half," Diddy said in a video. "I've been in the studio making that Last Train to Paris album. Album's done. I'm back out in the streets of New York. Shout-out out to L.A., Westside, thank y'all for the love. I was out in L.A. for like a year and a half. Man, it feels so good to be back home. I'm out here in these streets. This is my block right here. If y'all don't know what my block is, it's motherf*cking Broadway. Broadway's 'my' block...I own this sh*t and I'm back doing my thing. I'm back up in this b*tch. Walk with me, roll with me."

J Cole Prays To God That He Wins A Grammy

Roc Nation's own J Cole recently spoke about making a record that he thinks is worthy of a Grammy Award. Keeping details to a minimum, J Cole did mention the track is produced by Danjahandz.
"I have an incredible song that I hope wins a Grammy," Cole said in an interview. "I pray to God. It's such an incredible song. I love it...It's a really J. Cole song, but in single form, big radio form, but still emotional, really deep, thought-provoking type of song..It's still commercially acceptable with a really super duper hook that sometimes I can't believe I wrote like, 'Man, how did this hook come to me?' I wanna get somebody on the hook in particular and I just spoke with that person too, so we're gonna make that happen."

Diddy Dirty Money Say Sorry For Album Delay

Bad Boy head man Diddy recently talked about the reasons behind his new "Last Train To Paris" album and why it's been delayed multiple times.
"We pushed our album back a bunch of times because we felt, to be honest, we weren't ready. I think a lot of times artists make that mistake. They get locked into a date and they're like, 'Well, I told everybody my date was this.' ... And it's not fair to change your date four times like we did...We're sorry. But at the same time, we had to get to know each other better. We had more work to do to jell. We had to do different things on the album to make it more balanced and really finish the story the right way, not the selfish way. We feel comfortable now that we're telling the story in the way it's supposed to be told." (MTV)

Lupe Fiasco Talks Blog Shutdown

Rapper Lupe Fiasco recently was asked about the blog shut downs of late, to which he responded...
“People are trapped in the culture where music needs to be free and you don’t need to pay for it,” he told The BoomBox. “I was just at Princeton, speaking at Cornel West’s class, and someone asked that. They asked about the relationship between blogs and artists. I told them, at a bare minimum it costs me, literally out of my own pocket, it costs me $3,000 to $4,000 to make a song. It costs me about $700 to $800 to make a freestyle. I’m giving you that.” (Lupe Fiasco)

T.I. Talks About His New No Mercy Album

T.I. recently took to his blog to talk to fans as his new album hits stores, check out his blog below...
So here it is…NO MERCY, the most honest and intimate installment of my life story as promised. Hope y’all enjoy it and it lives up to the very high standards I’ve set for myself or anyone who’s to be considered one of the best. I must admit it takes a lot to go through as much as I have and still keep the love in your heart and in your art. But at the end of the day, if that’s what it takes to produce the music that keeps the world of hip-hop evolving on it’s axis….Then even the lowest of the lows of my life was all worth it. Thanks again for your prayers, your time and attention. And remember….It does’nt matter how long it’ll be before the next time you see me. What matters is that I’ll be a better man before that time comes. The longer I sit, the smarter I get.

T.I. continues...
I’d like to give a vey special thank you to all the fans who’ve been writing me and lifting my spirits everyday. I read all of them. Although I would never be able to write you all back…I’d like to list as many of you individualy as i can and thank the others collectively. It’s a relief to know that there still are people who see a man with a life and not just another headline in the news. Most of you sound very concerned and optimistic at the same time about my situation. Let me assure you all that I am deffenitely keeping my head up. I don’t consider myself done by far. Also many of you are convinced as I am that God has a plan for me that he’s preparing me for. How do you tell God Almighty that all you wanna do is LIVE LIFE ??? What if all you wanna do is be a father to your kids, a husband to your wife, and son to your mother while providing insightful motivation through music and lending a helping hand when posible to those who need it most. Well guys…That’s the topic of discussion between me and the MOST HIGH at the moment. I’ll keep you posted on how it turns out. Who knows maybe you can look foward to hearing the dialogue between us set to music on the next album…which I’ll be announcing the official title to sooner than later. But until then, thanks again for all your understanding, love and support. Y’all take it light and be eazy.

- Love King

HAPPY 41ST BIRTHDAY JAY-Z!

pop the Ace of Spades and turn on your fave Hov track. Because Jay-Z turns 41 today! It's been a huge year for Mr. Carter-- performing around the world, dropping a Best Seller book, embarking on major collabo projects with Eminem and Kanye, parlaying with billionaires, and being the attentive hubby to Beyonce--dude's been doing the most this year.

Mike Epps beats down the paparazzo

While Mike hosted a b-day dinner for Michelle/afterparty for his show at the Key Club in downtown Detroit last weekend (11/27), he told everyone there could be no cameras.

Since one dude in particular wouldn't listen, he got beat down by Mr. Epps and got his camera snatched.

Check out the video!!

"It was a private celebration for my wife's birthday. I asked the photographer numerous times not to film, but he refused to let up. I then attempted to retrieve the tape from the camera."

Suge Knight Once Again A Wanted Man

According to the internet's leading gossip website TMZ.com, Suge Knight is again a wanted man.
There's another warrant out for Suge Knight's arrest -- which probably doesn't surprise you ... or him.

According to documents obtained by TMZ, a $40,000 bench warrant was issued for Suge's arrest on November 23 after he failed to show up to court in L.A. to deal with two traffic tickets.

The docs show Suge was popped for driving with a suspended license and running a stop sign on September 23.

As we first reported, cops searched Suge's car during that traffic stop ... but they didn't find squat. (TMZ)

Rick Ross Continues To Talk Young Jeezy

As part of the intervied he did while covering the upcoming issue of The Source maagzine, along with Wiz Khalifa (see below), Rick Ross is asked about Young Jeezy and the current situation with the fellow rapper along with what is going to happen next.
Has the phone call between you and Young Jeezy take place yet?

Nah. That hasn’t happened. It’s nothing I’m looking forward to.

You guys have worked together before. It seemed the camaraderie between you two was genuine. The last summer he put out his own “B.M.F.” freestyle, but told me personally it wasn’t abbot you. Did you feel disrespected?

I’m not sure what was going on. [the freestyle] was most definitely [disrespectful], whatever it was. Then the explanations seemed sideways, less than G.

What’s more surprising; a diss records by somebody you were cool with or by somebody you don’t know?’

It’s most definitely when we always touching distance from each other. I’m tight here. It’s not like I’m in Miami and you in New York. We see each other. That’s the only issue I had. It was sideways. So i made a record, “Summer’s Mine” just to [let him know], if we gonna play that sport, let’s put it on the table like men. If it was just a freestyle that the world took the wrong way, leave it alone. That’s how I took it.

An added twist is that you and Jeezy are both on Def Jam. Did you ever get a call from L.A Reid saying “Hey, let’s not let this get out of hand?”

Nah. I don’t accept those kinda calls. I think they know that would have been an exercise in futility. Whatever it’s gonna be, it’s gonna be. If we gonna get money, we gonna get money. If it’s pressure, just put it on the table. I feel no way. I had nothing but love for the homie, but if me getting money in the streets or making music offended you, I can’t help that.

Rick Ross Talks Not Getting Grammy Nod Again

Rick Ross recently spoke about not being nominated for a Grammy Award, for a second year in a row. Despite being snubbed again, Rick Ross takes the high road and congratulated the other artists.
"Everybody that was nominated this year for the Grammys, I congratulate them, and I feel like everyone deserve it," Ross said in an interview. "As far as me, I feel like it's just something else for me to work towards, you know, if that's something that I'm really, really trying to achieve -- Other than that, I had a wonderful year and I really couldn't ask for no more." (MTV)

Jay-Z Back Kanye West When It Comes To Bush

Jay-Z recently re-opened the whole debate around former president Bush and his efforts to help the 2005 massive hurricane katrina disaster in new orleans. When asked if he supported what Kanye West said, Jay said he backed him up totallly.
"I 100 percent agreed with the comments that [Kanye] made, because again ... it felt like it was being done to black people," Jay-Z said in an interview. "Like all you saw on the news was black people with help signs and all this stuff, and then you have this picture of the commander in chief, who we all rely on, just flying by...Just the fact that he thinks that the worst thing that happened to him is Kanye saying something about him. Like, what? That alone shows you where his mind is. Are you kidding me?"

Birdman Talks About Young Cash Money Grammy Nods

With the grammy awards getting close, Cash Money co-founder Baby (aka birdman) recently shared his reaction and even made some predictions on how the night will go.
"Aww man, this is what we worked hard and put all of these years in for. It feels good; it's beyond words. We look at it like this, next year we have to have more, so we have to work harder. This is just giving us different ways to motivate ourselves...We take it as we have to go harder. It ain't no feelings caught up in this shit, our feelings are in our music. So we just take it as we gotta go harder. We gotta prove, we gotta do more. It's a win-win across the board. It's a win that we are nominees and it's a win that if we don't get it, we'll keep goin' 'til we go get it...With these type of events, we never put no feelings in 'em. We hope to win, but we've been coming to 'em for a minute, so if it don't happen we know how to keep it movin'. It ain't no big thing."

Keri Hilson & Cee-Lo Talk Relationships

Hit R&B singer, Keri Hilson, recently sat down to discuss her personal life, in which she says she is currently single. Keri discussed the difficulties she has when it comes to trying to find the right partner that could lead to a long, fulfilling relationship. Talking with fellow singer Cee-Lo Green for a VH1 special, Keri Hilson went on to explain what issues she would not want deal with in an relationship.
"Every person has one," says the "Pretty Girl Rock" singer, who is currently on the dating scene. "My breaking point... I mean, there are many. We, as women, are such hopeless romantics, and I know I'm one of them and I tolerate a bit more than I should just wanting to make a relationship work. Just wanting to be held at night. Wanting to be on dates and be a woman, you know? ... If we're in a committed relationship, not only do you step out and cheat, you had unprotected sex and had a baby out of the situation. That is like the ultimate. 'OK, you cheated? Maybe we can work it out.' ... So a child is born of this side relationship you had, and I just probably could not do that."

50 Cent On Michael Jackson & Their Track

50 Cent recently spoke about the late king of pop, Michael Jackson. Although he never got to physically meet Mike, 50 says they spoke on the phone. The G-Unit leader talks about how Michael wanted to work with him on some ideas and perhaps a song but before they got to work on it, Michael died.

After Michael died,

AMEN: Thank You Jim Jones & NORE

If you did not know, although it was pretty hard to miss, over the last weekend the government (ICE - Homeland Security) shut down tons of popular hip hop and music websites, using copyright infringement as their general reason. The problem is, most websites including OnSmash.com say they always followed any suggestions by record labels to remove or even to post music, yet they were given no warning and their site was taken away.... Well now rappers are weighing in on the situation.
"This is bad enough that the climate of the industry is cold. Using viral outlets such as OnSmash makes us hot, once they take that away from us what outlets are we going to use to help feed our families." (Jim Jones Tells VIBE)
N.O.R.E. released a statement on the situation and offered his thoughts on what alternative decisions could have been made for the seized sites.
"In light of the recent shut down of these great websites that I admire I wanted to speak. I remember having talks wit my partner Tito about only posting iTunes/amazon links of artists music of militainment and others. For the record I don't agree what the goverment is doing planning and plotting it's terrible. But I do see why the record labels are snitching. The Internet is so wonderful for asap attention, but perhaps no one has figured out how to get to make dollars and cents. I feel wit all the power that's these great websites have we can flip this into something good.FOR example when a artist drops a video or song I think it would help had the websites also post the iTunes/amazon links right next to it. I love giving away free music but if there's is a way for a artist to eat of that I am all for it.I am a partner in a website but I'm also a artist so people let's try and make it work ESP for those independent mother f*ckers who don't got corporate America behind them pause peAce hanghang hood chicken good morning good afternoon and got night." Eve Says Hip Hop Needs More Females

Long-Time Ruff Ryder, EVE, recently spoke about how she feels about the new female on the block, Nicki Minaj. Even talks about Nicki's launch into a star and how she feels hip hop needs more ladies leading the game and gaining some unity. Eve says that Nicki Minaj is one of many artists who are trying to take control of the game.
"I think she's dope, honestly," Eve said in an interview. "A lot of people, especially since I'm a female, you know how it is with females, a lot of people are like, 'Do you like her?,' and at the end of the day, her music is not for every certain type of female. She caters, I think, to one type of female but at the same time, she's the only person representing for real right now, for females. So, we need that. We need that bond. There's too much testosterone in the game. We gottae c get rid of these dudes, it's like, way too many guys. That's why I'm happy. I'm about to come back out and Trina's on [my upcoming new] record as well. You know what I mean, we need that female influence so I think she's doing her thing. God bless her. I think it's good."

It just makes me feel proud of my team, proud of my fans, everyone who has had something to do with my dreams. Finally, we are seeing this dream come to fruition. It feels incredible...Now I can promote the body of work. I feel like I gave birth to my baby, now I'm gonna teach it how to walk and how to talk and spoil the baby." (MTV)
