Delonte West and Von Wafer exchanging blows after Celtics practice

Less than one week after tempers flared during a two-on-two game in practice, Delonte West and Von Wafer had another altercation earlier this afternoon.

During a three-on-three game with Avery Bradley, Luke Harangody, Semih Erden and assistant coach Tyronn Lue, West began fouling Wafer each time the reserve guard touched the ball. West was increasingly physical to the point that Wafer exited to the locker room midway through the game. As he walked away, West barked obscenities and taunted Wafer.

After Wafer had showered and sat down at his locker, West approached from behind and threw a punch. Wafer didn't see the punch coming but quickly got off of the ground and connected on two punches of his own. He then wrestled West to the ground before being separated by the team's veterans.

Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce were very unhappy with the incident, especially since it occurred just hours before a game. Doc Rivers met with the players and tried smooth things over shortly after.

Sources close to the situation say that the Danny Ainge and the Celtics have grown tired of West's confrontations with teammates and are considering releasing the point guard. West is on a non-guaranteed contract and his distractions could result in that deal being terminated.

West has gotten into skirmishes with multiple teammates this season and his confrontational ways have grown old very quickly in the locker room. He is currently serving a ten-game suspension after pleading guilty to weapons charges in July.

Young Buck Planning to Sue the IRS

Young Buck is ready to fire back at the Internal Revenue Services. According to the local NBC affiliate in Nashville, WSMV-TV, Buck is suing the IRS over a raid of his property that occurred in August.

As previously reported, federal agents raided the home of the former G-Unit member this summer due to delinquent tax payments totaling roughly $300,000. They seized jewelry, furniture, platinum plaques and his recording equipment.

The rapper is claiming the government’s actions hindered his ability to make money and ultimately pay off the debts. An auction of Buck’s seized property was scheduled for yesterday (October 28), but was reportedly canceled by the IRS.

The Tennessee spitter also said in late August that he was planning to sue 50 Cent & G-Unit Records. As of press time, no paper work has been filed on either case.

Nicki Minaj Talks Being Rejected By Eminem At First

The first lady of Young Money, Nicki Minaj, recently had some big news leak on the net yesterday...We reported that Eminem would be doing a collaboration with Minaj which would be featured on her upcoming "Pink Friday" debut album. Nicki Minaj then let fans know that her first request was actually rejected by Eminem which only motivated her even more.
"The track had long been in the works," she revealed. Swizz Beatz produced the number, and she held onto the track for months. The Queens femcee sentEminem another record first in hopes of soliciting a collaboration with the Detroit superstar. "We went out on a whim and put it in the air like, 'It'd be great if he would collaborate with us,' " Nicki Minaj said. "I remember I kept talking about it, and I thought, 'It can't hurt.' I sent him one record, and he didn't love it. He didn't say, 'I don't love it'; he just said, 'Can you send me something that's a little more me?' I sent him an e-mail and thanked him for that, just having enough respect. Sometimes people don't respond. He had the respect, at least, to treat me like a peer." Eventually, Nicki revisited the Swizz track and completed the song. She wasn't sure if she wanted a feature on the track, because she thought the song was so good as it stood. After thinking it over, however, she decided to reach out to Em. "He picked up the phone for that one," she said. (MTV)

Kanye Talks Reminds Fans Of His Production Skills

Kanye West recently reminded fans about his skills as a producer and howe he isn't just a rapper. Despite being known as a rapper, Kanye explains how much time work he puts in as a producer.
"You know what's so bugged?" he said. "I had a friend that didn't realize I produced the last Jay-Z album. Because I'm such a notorious pop character, such a hated guy, or a loved guy, controversial or whatever it is, that people kind of forget that I sit and work hard as hell on beats. I listened to CDs for three days to find the 'Live Fast Die Young' sample, which was 'If This World Were Mine' flipped by the Bar-Kays. And I loved the sample so much that I played it for two days. Just over and over and over, and I thought about it and said, 'Claps. I want handclaps to go with this sample. That's what I need to juxtapose it and not make it just some takeoff of a '94 hip-hop song, but to make it a 2010, 2011, 2012 futuristic version of itself.' And I started the claps and put the 'hey, hey, hey' and the drums, and I just programmed it. It's kind of important for people to realize I'm a producer also."

Nicki Minaj Worried About First-Week Sales

Young Money CEO Mack Maine recently spoke about Nicki Minaj and how she has already started worrying about her first-week sales numbers for her "Pink Friday" debut album. According to Maine, Minaj is looking at labelmate Drake's numbers and wondering how the numbers will translate to her.

"She was worrying about first week. She was like, 'Drake sold [463,000]. What you think I'ma sell? As if she gon' sell less," recalls Maine. "I explained to her, 'You know a lot of the press and themedia really got it brainwashed with first week sales.' Bieber went on to sell 2 million andBieber might have only sold 17,000 the first week. Juvenile sold like 30,000 his first week of 400 Degreez and went on to sell 6 million...I don't know what happened to working the record and making sure that the artist reaches a certain point. I rather the end number be higher than the beginning. These days, it's all about: Let me do 500,000, a million the first week. Don't get caught up in what Wayne did. You don't want your pinnacle to be your first-week sales. Then everything's downhill from there and then what? I don't care if you sell 10 the first week and you go on to sell 5 million--we did better than the person that sold 300 the first week."

CamRon Goes In On Ma$e About Huddy 6

Seems like CamRon feels like Ma$e broke the code when he didn't show up to Huddy 6 funeral. Sadly Huddy 6 passed away from an unfortunate car crash earlier this month.

Ma$e recruited Huddy as a member of his group--- Harlem World. Unfortunately Ma$e did not show up to the funeral and that's what has CamRon so enraged.

A fan tweeted Cam and asked if Ma$e was in attendance at the funeral and he went insane. He tweeted "hell no that f***in sucka a** ni**a".

No response from Ma$e on the matter yet. Maybe showing up to the funeral wouldve been to painful for him? Who knows.

Rick Ross Brings Out Trae The Truth at Houston Concert

Rick Ross hit Houston’s Arena Theater last night (October 25) as part of his “Boss of All Bosses” Tour. Wearing a fresh out the package plain black tee, crispy Levi’s, black hi-top Louis Vuitton kicks, and, count ‘em, four iced-out black Jesus piece necklaces [view on page 2], Rozay stealthily stalked his way onto the stage. Skipping the pleasantries, he set off a boom in the room with “MC Hammer” and “B.M.F. (Blowin’ Money Fast),” two of the biggest singles from his latest LP, Teflon Don.

Backed up by Maybach Music members Masspike Miles and Gunplay, the Carol City Don then went into a series of his guest verses on Waka Flocka’s “O Let’s Do It (Remix),” DJ Khaled’s “All I Do Is Win” and “Diddy’s “Hello Good Morning.”

“Let’s smoke one for my nigga Pimp C,” said the Bawse before keeping it rolling with the Ne-Yo assisted “Super High.” Female fans, still on their feet at this point, cat called the portly MC as if he were a bonafide sex symbol, prompting them to sing Drake’s verse on his latest hit, “Aston Martin Music,” to which they obliged in various levels of pitch.

The Miami MC then took it back to 2006 with his first chart-topping single, “Hustlin’” before turning over the keys to the ‘Bach to embattled Houston rapper Trae the Truth, who performed “Inkredible” from his latest release, Can’t Ban Tha Truth.

There was a painfully obvious lull in the energy from the audience when Ross let his boys Miles and Gunplay get some shine for a few tracks, but the capacity crowd was electro shocked back into coherence when the Bugatti Boy went acapella for the Teflon Don opener, “I’m Not A Star.”

Ricky then unexpectedly performed “B.M.F. (Blowin’ Money Fast)” again before ending his set with the Triple C’s collabo, “Walking On Water.”

President Obama May Tap Jay-Z for Reelection Bid

During his 2008 Presidential campaign, Barack Obama relied heavily on mobilizing youth and connecting with the younger generations through speeches, ads and an online presence. Now, with an eye on his 2012 Presidential reelection campaign, there’s been talk that Obama’s camp may enlist the help of Jay-Z.

the choice would seem to make sense, as the rap superstar has been vocal in his support of Obama over the last few years and, with each passing day, Jay’s image seems to become more accepted by the same mainstream America that once rejected his rhymes about drugs, violence and women.

Haiti Fighting Massive Cholera Outbreak, 135 Dead So Far

For over a million people still homeless nine months after the January 12 earthquake in Haiti, a brand new nightmare is just beginning.

What many health-care experts and humanitarians have been warning and worrying about since dozens of makeshift tent cities started popping up in and outside of Port-au-Prince is starting to manifest. Haiti is in the midst of an outbreak of a disease that hasn’t been seen on the island in years.

At least 135 people have died in a suspected cholera outbreak, and aid groups are rushing in medicine and other supplies Friday to combat Haiti’s deadliest health problem since its devastating earthquake.

The outbreak in the rural Artibonite region, which hosts thousands of quake refugees, appeared to confirm relief groups’ fears about sanitation for homeless survivors living in tarp cities and other squalid settlements.

“We have been afraid of this since the earthquake,” said Robin Mahfood, president of Food for the Poor, which was preparing to fly in donations of antibiotics, dehydration salts and other supplies.

Many of the sick have converged on St. Nicholas hospital in the seaside city of St. Marc, where hundreds of dehydrated patients lay on blankets in a parking lot with IVs in their arms as they waited for treatment.

Catherine Huck, deputy country director for the U.N. Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs, said the Caribbean nation’s health ministry had recorded 135 deaths and more than 1,000 infected people.

Swizz Beatz Sued Over His Drink & 2 Step

According to gossip website TMZ.com, Swizz Beatz is being sued over his "My Drink N My 2 Step" track by a song-writer who says he co-produced the track but got nothing for it.
Alicia Keys' new hubby Swizz Beatz is a profit-hogging fraud -- this according to a jilted songwriter who claims he co-produced the song "My Drink 'n My 2 Step" ... but got nothing to show for it.

The songwriter in question -- named Antwann Frost -- filed the lawsuit two days ago ... claiming Swizz hit him up in 2007 to help put together a hit single for rapper Cassidy's then incomplete album.

According to the docs -- obtained by TMZ -- Swizz assembled the "drum patterns" and Frost created "all of the other original musical components that shaped and defined" the track that would become a chart-topping hit ... spawning remixes by Kanye West, Ne-Yo, and Chingy.

The song was released soon after -- at which point, Frost claims, Swizz lowballed him with a $5,000 cash offer and 5% ownership of the song ... while Swizz and Cassidy got the bulk share.

Frost rejected the offer ... and now dude's suing for $1,500,000 -- claiming he deserves equal partnership in the song with Swizz and Cass. No word yet from Camp Swizz. (TMZ)

The LOX Locked Into Interscope Records

Sheek Louch, long time member of The LOX, recently talked about his groups obligations to Interscope records and how he feels trapped on the label and would like to return to Diddy's Bad Boy Records.

"The Lox want to leave our current label home Interscope," explains Sheek of the current status of the group, whose last studio group release was 2000's We Are The Streets. "We are trying to move on, but unfortunately, the label doesn't want to let us go. We talked to Puff about coming back to Bad Boy; we gave him our counter offer and he said, 'Yes.' But it's up to him to convince [Interscope head] Jimmy Iovine and Ruff Ryders to let go of their shares so we can move on. We are stuck in that position. As far as Kiss, myself and Styles, we are ready for a new deal. We are good with Diddy...he has agreed with what we are looking for as far as financially and everything. Other labels are also throwing offers at us to make a LOX reunion album happen. But it's really about our lawyers moving everybody out the way and making a deal happen."

St Lunatic leader, Grammy-award-winning rapper, Nelly recently shared his views on rap beefs and why he says he will not diss any other emcees. Nelly says rap feuds are not a focus or part of his career. "With me, I always wanted to come in and just do me. So beefs and all that s**t ? Unless it's personal - I mean, don't get it twisted cuz, I'm from St. Louis, you know what I'm saying. We get it in. If you got something to say to me, then say it. You shouldn't have, 'cause I ain't in your business. I ain't got nothing to do with you, and I ain't never thought about nothing like that. Lil Wayne Breaks Silience On Solitary Confinement

After being put in solitary confinement for the remainder of his time in Rikers Island jail on his gun charge conviction, Lil Wayne has broken his silence via a new letter. "By now I'm guessing that you all have heard about my recent relocation to the bing, which is punitive segregation. Basically, no T.V., no radio, no snacks/junkfood, and one phone call a week. This punishment has been handed to me for my earlier MP3 incident. I admit, I fu#ked up and now I must deal with the consequences. As I write this, I only have 25 days left, and it'll be even less than that when you read this. So honestly, I'm fine. Obviously, this gives me a lot of time to myself and a lot of alone time with my thoughts, which can be creatively dangerous. I do miss being able to hear from my family everyday but once a week will have to suffice. To them, I apologize. I'm still able to receive mail so reading and responding is still a huge part of my day. I'd like to thank everyone that sent me B-Day cards and wishes... that was terrific. You all are wonderful, simply wonderful."

According to TMZ, the Brooklyn rapstress showed up four hours late for a scheduled show in New York City last week. When she finally did show up—just a half hour before the club closed—she wasn’t there in time to actually hit the stage.

The delay reportedly occurred because the Brooklyn-bred spitter was upset with the car that was sent to pick her up and bring her to the show. Brown had requested to be scooped up in a particular 2010 SUV; instead, concert promoters sent a 2009 her way.

She apparently never performed because half of her $1,000 fee was still owed to her. “They promised they would give her the rest of the deposit and balance due when she arrived, but did not!” a rep for Fox claimed. “Foxy was disappointed that the deposit and rider requirements were not met

Lil Wayne Placed in Solitary Confinement

With just a month left on his jail sentence, Lil Wayne is now facing some trouble at Rikers Island. The multi-platinum selling spitter will be spending the next four weeks in solitary confinement.

According to New York’s Daily News, Weezy will be out of contact with other inmates for up to 23 hours a day until his November 4 release. The punishment reportedly stems from an incident back in May when officers found headphones and an MP3 charger on Wayne. The actual MP3 player was later found with another inmate. “He’s not in an area where he is mingling with other inmates—ever,” a Correction Department source said, according to the Daily News.

The more than three-month delay between the crime and the punishment occurred because, with limited space, priority for solitary confinement is placed on inmates who have committed violent acts.

LeBron James Says Race Was A Factor In Cleveland Backlash

In a recent interview, LeBron James said he thinks race was a factor in the intense backlash he received for trading Cleveland for the Miami Heat.

Last night on Wednesday's edition of "Primetime" on CNN, LeBron James told Soledad O'Brien that he thought race was a factor in the backlash to his decision to leave the Cleveland Cavaliers saying, "I think so, at times. It's always, you know, a race factor." When asked to clarify his statement after Thursday morning's practice session, LeBron said, "I'm not going to go back on my words. I think people are looking too into it. Maverick Carter, a 28-year-old who is one of Lebron's closest advisers, said race "definitely played a role in some of the stuff coming out of the media, things that were written for sure."A recent release of Q Scores, a polling system that measures popularity, appeared to support the notion. According to James's recent Q scores, his positive Q rating among African Americans dropped from 52 percent in January to 39 percent in September. His negative Q rating increased from 14 percent to 15 percent. Among non-blacks, James' negative Q rating went from 24 percent to 44 after his free-agency announcement. Some believe race plays a role in these ratings. During the CNN interview, LeBron also talked about the widely criticized July ESPN special that revealed his decision. "It was my idea and the people around me's idea," he said. But it should be noted that the show raised $3 million for Boys & Girls Club of America. "We own the advertising time. We went out and sold it to brands and we took every dime and donated it to charity," Maverick Carter said. Frank Sanchez, a vice president of Boys & Girls Club of America, addressed that aspect. "LeBron was using a significant moment in time to benefit young people," he said. "And a lot of people can take those opportunities and make it about them. . . . His goal was to make it about kids and make it about giving opportunities for kids."
