R&B singer Mario has reportedly especaped possible jail time for allegely assaulting his month last month after she revealed that he did not physically harm her. According to the story, Shawnita Hardaway retracted past claims she made against her son.
Hardaway, who previously battled a heroin addiction, took the stand yesterday and declared she was under the influence when she accused her son of pushing her against a wall and breaking objects in their Baltimore home. The 2nd degree assault charge against Mario has been dropped, the Baltimore state attorney's office told TMZ. "I'm glad to be finally vindicated," the 24-year-old tells UsMagazine.com. "I want to thank everyone who believed in me. I will continue to love and support my mother."
