With only a week left before Lil Wayne is set to be released from Rikers Island, a 20-year veteran corrections department captain has been suspended for spending too much time in the rapper's jail cell. Captain Raphael Collazzo got attention when he recently spent 45-minutes withWeezy, who is currently locked up in solitary confinement for carrying headphones and an mp3 charger (contraband at Rikers Island).
“We don’t know what he was doing,” a source told the Daily News. “We know the [security] camera picked him up.” Collazzo, who was suspended without pay for 10 days, did not have a reasonable explanation for hanging with Weezy, the source said.
